    Missing swimmer found dead near Madeira Beach

    PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said a missing swimmer was found dead early Tuesday.

    Deputies said they were planning to resume search efforts for a swimmer who reportedly got caught in a rip tide north of John’s Pass.

    2-year-old found dead in Florida canal after ‘accidental drowning,’ deputies say

    Around 6:20 a.m. Tuesday, officials said a passerby found the swimmer dead on the shortline near 14900 Gulf Boulevard. The swimmer has not been identified.

    No other details were immediately available.
