Emergency hospital opening in Smith County
RALEIGH, Miss. (WDAM) - Covington County Hospital and South Central Regional Medical Center will be collaborating to open the Smith County Emergency Hospital. The new rural emergency hospital is expected to begin operations in late December 2024 or early January 2025. The hospital will be located at 347 Magnolia Drive in Raleigh.

An upper-level trough of low pressure is hanging out very near our region, and we’re in a good spot (in reference to that trough) where showers & storms are expected to develop each afternoon.
