Elderly man killed in UTV accident on Ettrick farm
A utility-terrain vehicle crash in Ettrick left one elderly man dead Tuesday. The Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office received a report at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday that an elderly man was found after he did not return home after driving the property. The man was found unresponsive and pinned under a UTV at W27201 Francis Lane in the town of Ettrick.
One injured in three vehicle crash near Arcadia
One person was injured in a three vehicle crash Friday morning near Arcadia, according to a press release from the Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office. Authorities say the crash happened at 11:54 a.m. on Wisconsin Highway 93 near the intersection of Holcomb Coulee Road when a vehicle traveling south crossed the center line and struck two northbound vehicles.
Minor injuries in 3-vehicle crash
ARCADIA, Wis. (WEAU) - A three-vehicle crash in Arcadia today resulted in only minor injuries and a few citations. The Wisconsin Supreme Court has ruled that an order issued by a Trempealeau County judge violated an abortion protestor’s freedom of speech rights. All seven of the justices on the state’s highest court agreed that Brian Aish of Black River Falls was denied his First Amendment rights when Circuit Court Judge Rian Radtke in 2020 issued an injunction forbidding the man from being near a then-employee of Planned Parenthood’s Blair Health Center.
Suspect in Ettrick shooting death jailed under more than $1 million bond
A cash bond has been set at $1.5 million for Trempealeau County murder suspect Todd Gieck. The Melrose man is accused of fatally shooting Kyle Dahl in Ettrick last month. A new judge from outside the county, Thomas Clark of Buffalo County, has been assigned to the case, after Trempealeau County Judge Rian Radtke recused himself because the victim had worked with the county courts.

$1.5 million cash bond set for Melrose man charged with fatal Trempealeau County shooting
A $1.5 million cash bond has been set for Melrose resident Todd Eric Gieck, who is accused of fatally shooting 36-year-old Kyle Dahl on May 15. Gieck was charged last week with first-degree reckless homicide, discharging a firearm from a vehicle toward a building or vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
