Arrest made in Wisconsin homicide investigation, three charges pending
(WFRV) – Authorities from the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in an alleged homicide case stemming from May. The suspect, 61-year-old Todd E. Gieck of Melrose was arrested on charges of First Degree Reckless Homicide, Recklessly Endangering Safety and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
Victim Identified, Arrest Made
There is now an arrest in a western Wisconsin homicide case, but there still aren’t many details. The sheriff in Trempealeau County yesterday said deputies arrested 61-year-old Todd Gieck for the killing in Ettrick back on May 15th. But the sheriff’s office has yet to say anything about just what happened, how the victim died, or a motive in the case. The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Kyle Dahl of Ettrick.
Melrose man arrested for murder in Trempealeau County
(KWNO)-A Melrose man is in custody and charged with murder in Trempealeau County. The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday arrested 61-year-old Todd E. Gieck for First Degree Reckless Homicide, First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. The victim is 36-year-old Kyle Dahl of Ettrick. Investigators found Dahl dead last month at the site of car accident and deemed the death suspicious. Gieck is being held in the Trempealeau County Jail.
'A near random act of violence' — charges filed in Ettrick homicide case
Today, Trempealeau County prosecutors charged Todd Gieck, 61, of rural Melrose, Wis., with first degree reckless homicide and discharge of a firearm at a vehicle in the death of Kyle Dahl on May 15 on Highway 53 outside Ettrick. According to investigators, a witness was with Gieck when he allegedly fired a gun at Dahl’s vehicle, striking Dahl and killing him.
