A 21-year-old Dies After Maryland Police Tasered Him

The 21-year-old guy who was critically injured when cops in Maryland Tasered him died last week, according to the office of the Attorney General of Maryland.

Lavaughn Coleman died on December 15 from injuries he got in an October fight in Gambrills, Maryland, with a police officer named as Cpl. A. Stallings. According to the office of the Attorney General, Coleman hit his head after Stallings Tasered him.

Police in Anne Arundel County say they told him and another man to get out of the car where they were sitting with drugs and guns. The AG's office said Coleman did what he was told, hit a police officer, and ran away as they tried to arrest him. After telling him to stop, Stallings shocked him with a Taser. The event was caught on Coleman's body camera, but Stallings' was knocked off as he ran away.

The corporal has worked as a soldier for 10 years. WBFF asked Anne Arundel County Police for a response, but they said no.

The Maryland Attorney General's Office shared video of another shooting last month that involved a police officer on Tuesday. Following a call about a fight between family members on November 24, Baltimore County Police Officer Schanberger fired several shots into a Parkville home.
