The Tahoe went into the middle divider and hit the end of a fence. It then stopped in the southbound lanes of I-43. It went into the middle stripe, hit the fence, and stopped between the railing and a concrete pillar.

The Tahoe driver, a 60-year-old Manitowoc, was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. He flew his client, a 66-year-old woman from Two Rivers, to the hospital because she was seriously hurt but not in danger of dying.

The driver of the Suburban, a 38-year-old guy from Green Bay, and his 12-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not in danger of killing them. The other two people in the car with him were Green Bay women, aged 71 and 38. They were both declared dead at the scene of the accident. After the crash, both lanes of I-43 going north and south were stopped for a few hours.
