Los Gatos Man Accused of Wife's Murder, Body Discovered in Santa Cruz Mountains

In a recent development, law enforcement officials in the South Bay have announced the arrest of a man in connection with the murder of his wife. According to authorities, there is a possibility that the remains of the victim have been discovered in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

An investigation was launched by the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department into the case of YingYing "Dawn" Yu, a 40-year-old woman who went missing. The police were alerted by her employer, who reported that they had been unable to contact her since before New Year's.

According to authorities, the police reached out to her spouse, John Maxey Yeager, aged 56, and discovered that the details he provided regarding his wife's location were "inconsistent."

Police have discovered evidence indicating that Yu was involved in a domestic violence incident on New Year's Eve. An arrest was made on Thursday in relation to the incident involving Yeager. Further information regarding the incident is currently unavailable.

Following Yeager's arrest, authorities discovered further evidence pertaining to the case. Authorities discovered human remains on Saturday in a remote area of Summit Road in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Authorities have confirmed that the discovered remains are believed to belong to Yu, according to police reports. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner is currently awaiting confirmation of the identity of the remains.

Yeager is currently being held in the Santa Clara County Jail without bail, as stated in jail records.
