The Nathaniel Witherell announced this week that they were ranked among the top U.S. skilled nursing home facilities by Newsweek. Recognized by Newsweek as a Best Nursing Home for 2025, The Witherell earned the highest possible ranking for both its Short-term Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care services and facilities. Of the 1.2 million nursing homes evaluated across 25 states in the nation, just 1,050 or 8.75% were listed.“We are honored to again be ranked among the top nursing homes in the country,” John Mastronardi, Executive Director, said in a press release. “This recognition reflects the extraordinary dedication, consistent high quality of care and compassion that our team gives to our short-term patients and long-term residents.”According to Newsweek, top nursing homes in each state were assessed and ranked based on four factors: performance data, recommendations of medical professionals, accreditations, and resident satisfaction. “One of the challenges of aging is finding the right care from sources that you trust—you want to know that you or your loved ones are in good hands during a new phase of life,” Newsweek wrote. “Nursing homes can provide crucial services for those who need general care or medical assistance in their day-to-day lives.”Mastronardi said in the release: “At the Witherell, we support individuals who have reached a certain stage in their lives and require specialized care. We also provide outstanding rehabilitation services. The healthcare needs of older adults are complex, and individualized programs to support the well-being of the whole person are essential to keeping them safe, happy and healthy.”
