ORONO - No. 1 Bucksport softball are once again C North champions, winning their second straight crown with a 4-0 win over No. 6 Mattanawcook in Tuesday's regional final. With the score 2-0 in the bottom of the third, the Bucks' Jetta Shook scored on a fielder's choice from Alivia Shute to make it 3-0. Belfast architects receive national design award for Bar Harbor academic building
OPAL, a local Belfast architectural firm and leader in sustainable design and environmental stewardship, said June 10 that it has earned national recognition for the design of Bar Harbor academic building. The Davis Center for Human Ecology at College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor has received the AIA National Architecture Award — the highest level of recognition possible for a specific project from the American Institute of Architects.

More than 5,000 cardholders are registered at the Jesup, and we anticipate more than 60,000 visits and 50,000 checkouts in 2024. We will continue to steward taxpayer dollars toward maintaining and improving services for all, as we enter our 114th year of operation.

HOLDEN--The historic Holden Town Hall building, which sat vacant for years, is back open once again. The building, which was built in the late 1800s, is located on the Main Road in Holden.
