    Crude oil spill reported near Trenton

    TRENTON, ND ( KXNET ) — The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality was notified of a crude oil spill on July 11.

    According to a news release, the spill came from a tank at a storage facility Savage Services Corporation operated near Trenton.

    The reports stated that the tank released about 2,000 barrels (84,000 gallons) into the secondary containment that’s on site.

    As of right now, there is no known impact on water.

    Personnel are working with Savage Services Corp. to clean up and will continue to monitor the remediation and investigation.
