Tri-Cities Animal Shelter overwhelmed, seeks community help as kennels overflow
Tri-Cities, Wash. — The Tri-Cities Animal Shelter tells us they are beyond full capacity for both dogs and cats, and now they're asking the community for assistance. Tri-Cities Animal Shelter Manager, Ben Zigan, tells us just how dire their situation is this summer. He, says. "We pretty much have 65 to 70 kennels to house dogs in. We're currently are at 94 dogs."

PASCO, Wash. - Businesses worldwide struggled this morning because of a major tech outage, but the Tri-Cities Airport worked through it. “Well, we had some delays. Dozens of invasive Japanese beetles caught in the Tri-Cities area
OLYMPIA, Wash - The Washington State Department of Agriculture is asking residents in the Tri-Cities to report Japanese beetle sightings after already catching 38 beetles this summer. That is seven times more beetles than last summer when the WSDA caught five in Pasco. They are an invasive species and pose a threat to local agricultural communities.

Benton County Deputies continue to search for an errant hit-and-run driver from early Thursday morning. Around 3:53 AM, the BCSO says 18-year-old Keanu Ashby was out walking with his girlfriend in the 1600 block of East 3rd, Kennewick. Deputies seek driver after hit & run injures man in Kennewick early today
Benton County Wash. — Benton County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a suspect after a hit & run near Kennewick. Just before 4:00 this morning, deputies say they responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian. Upon arriving, they found 28-year-old Keanu Ashby, who was struck by the car while walking with his girlfriend in the 1600 block of E 3rd near Kennewick.
