FAN POLL: Player of the Week for. Aug. 23-29 High School Football

Ethen Brewen of Carbondale Area was the winner of the Tri-County Independent "Pre-Season Player of the Year" fan poll. The senior tailback narrowly outdistanced Western Wayne wideout Sean Owens.

Now, Brewen is also a candidate for our Lackawanna Football Conference "Player of the Week" fan poll for the period of August 23-29. The talented running back made his presence felt both on the ground and through the air during the Chargers' Week 1 battle with longtime rival Lakeland.

Also earning nominations for "Player of the Week" are Honesdale's Mason Avery, Western Wayne's Josh Vinton, Joe Briskie of North Pocono and Caden Cuozzo of Lakeland.

Vote early and vote often for your favorite player! Poll will remain open until noon on Friday.
