Kennewick

Banlin Construction Co. proceeded on a $2.3 million project to convert a former Kennewick fire station into Benton County’s new election center in late July.

Work on the project near the Benton County Justice Center near Columbia Center began earlier this year.

The project is a little more than half finished, according to Kennewick property records.

MMEC Architecture & Interiors is the designer.

Pasco

Hogback Three Rivers is constructing a 12,500-square-foot building for DaVita Kidney Care, according to Pasco building permits.

The project is valued at $2.2 million.

The 2.5-acre site is north of the Pasco water towers, near Take 5 Oil Change at Three Rivers Drive and North Road 68.

The city of Pasco has agreed to sell a city-owned 1.4-acre parcel in front of Gesa Stadium to Chris Corbin, who intends to build a new edition of his a Summer’s Hub food truck plaza there.

Corbin will pay $845,000, according to a deal approved by the city council on Aug. 6.

The Pasco Summer’s Hub will echo its popular Kennewick sister site near Sportsman’s Warehouse off Canal Drive.

Documents filed with Washington state indicate Corbin intends to build a 5,170-square-foot pavilion with restrooms and a large canopy. The site will accommodate 26 food trucks along with parking spots.

A 40,000-square-foot office building in north Richland is being renovated to create 11 individual tenant suites within its two floors.

The project includes a mix of suite sizes ranging from 775 to 3,300 square feet.

The $5.5 million project is being carried out by W McKay Construction. Bruce Baker is the architect. Julie and Justin Henning own the property.

West Richland

ABC Dino Academy

The developers behind the newest ABC Dino Academy plan to break ground Friday, Aug. 9, on a series of buildings that will house a school, as well as nursery, preschool and day care facilities.

Site work began earlier this year.

The project is being developed by Syed Amir with owner Kylee Sullivan.

It will join a network of ABC Dino facilities in Kennewick, Pasco and Richland.
