    Royal, Liberty Christian continue their winning ways in the small-school football ranks

    Royal continued its winning ways Friday, stepping out of 1A South Central Athletic Conference play to beat Class 2A Prosser 52-8.

    Lance Allred continued with his superb senior season with 199 yards passing and two touchdown passes.

    Jackson Larsen caught five passes for 100 yards receiving, as the Knights rolled up 478 yards of offense.

    Prosser’s Brady Buxton caught four passes for 81 yards.

    Meanwhile, Connell trounced Kiona-Benton 56-6, as quarterback Carson Lloyd led the Eagles with 185 yards of passing, three touchdown runs, and two TD passes.

    Matheui Cope led Connell with 4 catches for 113 yards.

    Finally, Liberty Christian of Richland rolled over another Southeast 1B Grape Division opponent, beating Touchet 76-0.

    Charlie Branning rushed just four times for 119 yards and two touchdowns. Branning also intercepted a pass and returned 30 yards for another score.

    Quarterback Perry Pottle was the epitome of near perfection, going 5-for-6 for 207 yards and four TD passes.

    Defensively, LC was led by Ryan Powell’s 9 tackles, while Ryker Wageman added 8 tackles.

    Meanwhile, Tri-Cities Prep plays host to Warden at 6 p.m., Saturday, at Chiawana High School.

    The Jaguars routed River View 54-12 last Friday, and a win over Warden this Saturday would clinch the 2B East Division title for Prep.
