Greater Mankato Growth hosts listening session with businesses hit by flooding
MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Greater Mankato Growth hosted a listening session today with business owners impacted by the recent flooding. The session was held on Zoom, hosting at least a dozen businesses around the area who have received flooding damage, as well as representatives from affected cities, counties, and the state. It was a chance for the businesses to share with those representatives what damage they’d received and where they still need help with recovery efforts.

MINOR INJURIES IN NEW ULM CRASH
New Ulm Police were called to a collision at 9:06 am Wednesday at the corner of Center and Washington. 22-year-old Megan Kelley of New Ulm was driving a Ford westbound on Center Street and tried to turn left onto Washington and collided with a Ford driven by 29-year-old Kevin Moody of New Ulm. Police say Kelley had minor injuries. Both vehicles sustained severe damage.

Council Learns More About Community Liaison
–The Algona City Council heard a presentation from Community Liaison Marissa Miller during a work session held Monday afternoon. The position is being implemented at Law Enforcement offices across the state as a way to provide more time-focused assistance to the public, while also allowing Police and Sheriff’s Officers to get back to other case work more quickly.
