Partygoers fill A.R. Mitchell Museum for annual fundraising ball

Trinidad’s finest filled the A.R. Mitchell Museum of Western Art on Saturday, Oct. 2 for the museum’s annual fundraising ball. Tickets for the night went for $100 a person and a dinner, silent auction and music by Michael Hearne and South X Southwest were featured. Trinidad city leaders say no to Prop 119, pass resolution of opposition

A proposed ballot measure that would increase marijuana sales taxes up to 20% by 2024 has not been met with open arms in Trinidad. A number of Trinidad City Council members have spoken about their concerns with ballot measure Prop 119 (previously known as Initiative 25), including the worry that it would have no oversight when implemented and its potential impact on border towns’ marijuana dispensaries and their associated taxes collected by the city.
