Crash This Morning on Highway 299 East of Burnt Ranch Injures Four
At around 10:21 this morning near mile marker 14.6 on Highway 299 east of Burnt Ranch in Trinity County, two westbound vehicles collided, according to reports from the scene. According to unofficial reports, the driver of a silver SUV was passing on a double yellow line at a very high speed. Forced to return to his lane due to oncoming traffic, the SUV rear-ended the vehicle he was passing.

The University of California Master Gardener training course will be offered this fall semester through Shasta College. Classes will be from 5:30 to 8:50 p.m. Wednesdays, Aug. 21-Dec. 4, with two location options available: at the Main Campus in Redding, or at the Trinity Campus in Weaverville. The Weaverville class will have a live Zoom feed from the Redding classroom with Trinity Master Gardeners present to provide in-person demonstrations and information specific to gardening in Trinity County.
