A Texas couple had a frightening moment Saturday when a giraffe at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center plucked their 2-year-old daughter out of the mother’s hands. Jason Toten was driving a pickup truck through the wildlife tour with his fiancée and children in the bed of the truck when a giraffe walked over, leaned into the back of the truck and grabbed daughter Paisley, as Facebook video from a visitor in another vehicle shows.

A recent giraffe feeding at a Texas wildlife center took a terrifying turn when one of the giraffes lifted a toddler from the back of a pickup truck she was sitting in. Jason Toten, the girl's father, shared a video with 'NBC News' that shows his daughter, dressed in a pink shirt with pigtails, reaching out from the truck to feed the giraffe during their tour. In the video, the giraffe nudges the girl and gets increasingly closer as she retreats further into the truck bed. The animal then appears to grab the girl and lift her up. In the background, a woman's scream can be heard.
