Pa. man who pleaded guilty to rape sentenced to 4 years in prison in Maryland
A Lycoming County man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison in a Maryland rape case but the judge suspended all but four years of it in accordance with a plea agreement. Following the jail term imposed Friday, Dylan Matthew Lewis, 25, of the Montoursville area, will be on five years’ supervised probation and must register as a sex offender for life.
Williamsport police help with back-to-school shopping
Williamsport, Pa. — On Saturday, a group of Williamsport police officers helped several Willliamsport elementary students get ready for school next week by taking them back-to-school shopping at the local Target. Officers and students were supplied with gift cards before scouring the aisles to pick out all the necessary items to help make their first day back in the classroom a great one! The Williamsport police would like to send a huge thank you to the YWCA of North Central PA for their collaboration on organizing and getting grant funding for this event. They would also like to thank Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northeast PA, the Williamsport Area School District, and Target of Lycoming Crossings who helped make this event possible!
