The 2024 Student Art Show at the Johnson Center for the Arts will open today, April 12, at 300 East Walnut Street in downtown Troy.

The annual Student Art Show is an opportunity for students in grades Pre-K-12 to have their artwork hang in a public art gallery. The show is also an opportunity for family members, other students and the public to view the work of these young artists.

The student art show will fill both lower galleries at the JCA by students of all ages and from schools throughout the county and homeschool students.

The Student Art Show is also an opportunity for high school graduating seniors to be eligible for scholarship awards,

Reba Allen, JCA graphic artist, said the annual Student Art Show is an opportunity for students to choose their own subjects and mediums so the show is completely student artwork. Ribbons will be awarded at all grade levels

The 2024 Student Art Show will hang during TroyFest the last weekend in April. The show has become a “not to miss” opportunity for visitors to the art/craft show.

The Johnson Center for the Arts is open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Admission is free.
