Troy music honors recital Thursday at JCA

On Thursday, the Downtown Troy, Johnson Center of the Arts will host the Troy University John M. Long School of Music Honors Recital. The event will begin at 7p.m. and will feature eight of the most talented students from the John M. Long School of Music.

Dr. Adam Blackstock, Professor of Music at Troy University, said these students were nominated by their applied professors to audition for an external panel of adjudicators. This year’s guest adjudicators include Ms. Ashley Gresko, Dr. Margaret Jackson and Dr. Laurie Penpraze.

“After their successful auditions, they were each selected to perform on this year’s Honors Recital program,” Dr. Blackstock said. “Please join us on Thursday night for a wonderful evening of music and to celebrate the talents of these outstanding students.
