Movie Night raises $3,000 for Sav-A-Life

Friday night at the movies was fun for all who attended The Vine’s fun(d) raiser in support of Sav-A-Life Troy, which is embarking on a fund-raising campaign for the construction of a new building to facilitate its growing needs and future opportunities.

Sav-A-Life Troy, a Pregnancy Resource Center serves Pike and surrounding counties and students at Troy University.

Amanda Johnson, The Vine small group coordinator, said The Vine Church understands the importance of Sav-A-Life Troy and its need for a larger facility that will meet and continue to meet the needs of the area that it serves.

“The Vine wants to be a part of Sav-A-Life’s fundraising efforts,” Johnson said. “And, Friday at the movies was amazing. We raised $3,000 for Sav-A-Life. This pro-life organization is very dear to our hearts and we love supporting them as much as possible.”

In addition to the $10 movie ticket, there were several other opportunities to support the Sav-A-Life fundraising efforts including T-shirts, concessions and a silent cake auction.

The Vine plans to do more community movie nights for college students and local non-profits.
