The Book Store at the Troy Public Library expected the donation of a collection of wood puzzles to go fast. In a short time, they are gone.

Iris Byrd, Book Store manager, said through the generosity of a patron, the Book Store was able to offer the collection of puzzles that are especially unique in that they are wood, without edges and the pieces are in shapes of flowers and such.

“There was no doubt that the wood puzzles would go fast,” Byrd said. “Each one is worthy of framing.”

The Book Store now has a collection of unopened boxes of National Geographic Magazines available that are considered treasures by collectors.

“We never know what donations we will have,” Byrd said. “Books of every kind. Right now, we have a large number of cookbooks available and also children’s books for them to enjoy during the remaining days of summer and into the school year.

The Book Store has books for all ages and interests including Western novels, romance novels, sports books, fiction, non-fiction, fantasy, history, mystery books, biographies and autobiographies. In addition to books, to read and enjoy, the Book Store has puzzles, CDs, videos, records and games.

And, the prices for the Book Store item range from 50 cents to one dollar with a few priced at two dollars. At a time when the price of most everything is going higher, the Book Store continues to have entertainment at affordable prices.
