DES MOINES, Iowa — A flood watch is in effect tonight through Tuesday morning for portions of northern and western Iowa. Heavy rainfall is expected to develop with thunderstorms moving in from Nebraska. Streaks of 1-3" of rain look likely, but a few locations rising into the 3-5" range are possible.

The sun-filled skies we had from earlier this morning have now been replaced with clouds, leaving our skies mostly cloudy for the rest of Monday evening.
