Montana Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame names 2024 induction class
BILLINGS — The 2024 Hall of Fame Legend inductees have been chosen by the Montana Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame. Each year, awards are given to individuals, families, businesses and ranches who have contributed to and sustained rodeo and the Montana way of life. The cowboys and cowgirls who have made rodeo great are memorialized on the Wall of Fame at the Monument Site, located at the First Interstate Arena at MetraPark in Billings.
Montana Grizzlies name 5 team captains for 2024 football season
MISSOULA — Montana head football coach Bobby Hauck announced five team captains for the 2024 season on Saturday at the conclusion of fall camp. Veteran running back Nick Ostmo and tackle Brandon Casey represent the offense, safety Ryder Meyer and cornerback Trevin Gradney represent the defense, and preseason All-Big Sky pick Isiah Childs represents the special teams.
Woman swims entirety of Priest Lake
PRIEST LAKE, Idaho – A Liberty Lake woman swam the entire length of Priest and Upper Priest Lake from Monday to Tuesday, completing a nonstop 20 hour swim of over 24 miles. Kim Bowler, swam to raise funds to build wells in Uganda. More details can be found on her Facebook page.
Out of fuel and out of options, airplane lands on I-90 near Rtizville
RITZVILLE - Out of fuel and out of options, a small-engine plane landed on Interstate 90 near Ritzville on Sunday. Washington State Troopers say the plane landed on I-90 at around 6:30 p.m. about two miles east of Ritzville. Authorities weren't able to confirm if the plane had landed in the westbound or eastbound lanes, but it was noted that the vessel was on the road for roughly ten minutes before a crew from the Ritzville Municipal Airport arrived to refuel the aircraft. The plane took off within 15 minutes of landing, according to State Patrol. The plane reportedly landed at the Ritzville Municipal Airport after departing the makeshift runway of I-90. No one was hurt.
