    Ground breaks for Troy mixed-use apartment complex

    TROY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 )– A groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday launched the construction of City Station North, a new mixed-use and Class A apartment and office complex in Troy. Business, political, and community leaders gathered for the ceremony for the new complex, which will span over 174,599 square feet along Congress Street and 6th Avenue.

    City Station North is set to be four stories tall and will feature 87 one- and two-bedroom apartments, a 40,000-square-foot office space, and 154 gated and covered parking spots projected to be finished in the fall of 2025. Amenities include a rooftop terrace, energy-efficient heating and cooling systems, a fitness center, private balconies, internet, and more.

    Mayor Carmella Mantello said the new living space is another puzzle piece contributing to Troy’s developmental success. United Group President and CEO Michael J. Uccellini said the new living space is a commitment to a live, work, and play lifestyle.

    “Troy currently lacks new Class A office spaces and City Station North will be one of the best,” Uccellini said. “The vacancy rate for office space in Troy is 3% for Class A, B, and C. There’s a huge demand.”
