Boyfriend arrested amid search for missing Ohio woman who may have been pregnant
PLAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (TCN) -- Officials recently arrested a 26-year-old man amid a search for his missing girlfriend, who was later found dead. According to Plain Township Trustee Brook Harless, 24-year-old Raychel Sheridan, who was believed to be pregnant, was reported missing after she failed to show up to work on Monday, July 1. The Stark County Sheriff's Office performed a welfare check the following day, but they were unable to find Sheridan.

HINESVILLE, Ga. (TCN) -- Two firefighters who used to be in a relationship were found dead in Tennessee over the weekend after going missing. According to WJCL-TV, on Saturday, June 22, Raegan Anderson and Chandler Kuhbander got into an argument at an Olive Garden in Pooler because she allegedly saw him on a date. Anderson reportedly keyed her ex-boyfriend’s car and was arrested for criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.
Baltimore teacher allegedly sexually assaulted missing 12-year-old girl
BALTIMORE (TCN) -- A 24-year-old teacher faces charges after allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl who recently went missing. The Baltimore County Police Department alleges 24-year-old Baltimore City Public Schools teacher Lewis Laury had an inappropriate relationship with the young victim. According to WMAR-TV, the girl was reported missing on June 21 and reportedly left her mother a note explaining she was going to meet a friend in Pennsylvania.
Mother arrested in 2001 cold case death of infant found on side of road
JOHNSON COUNTY, Texas (TCN) -- Officials recently identified and arrested the mother of an infant whose remains were found nearly 23 years ago on the side of a road. According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, in November 2001, an individual picking up cans on the side of Briar Oaks Road found the infant’s body wrapped in a jacket with her umbilical cord still attached. Investigators allege the baby girl was likely born alive outside a hospital and had recently died. The sheriff’s office named her "Angel Baby Doe" because they were unable to identify her at the time.

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (TCN) -- A 42-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of using his estranged wife’s financial accounts for cleaning supplies after she went missing. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office first posted about 37-year-old Crystal Rasch’s disappearance on June 27. According to WISN-TV, the victim’s stepmother found her vehicle at home but hadn’t heard from her since June 11.
Florida man allegedly killed estranged girlfriend because he was worried she'd take their kids
HAINES CITY, Fla. (TCN) -- Police recently arrested a man on suspicion of killing his 29-year-old estranged girlfriend near the restaurant where she worked. According to Haines City Police Chief Gregory Goreck, on the morning of Sunday, June 30, officers responded to the area near La Fiesta Mexicana Restaurant to reports of shots fired. Goreck said the victim, identified by WFLA-TV as Yahorany "Nani" Popoca, also called 911 and "courageously" described the suspect, Rolando Zarate.

MINNEAPOLIS (TCN) -- A 32-year-old woman is facing a murder charge after her ex-girlfriend was found stabbed to death following a car crash. According to the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday, June 22, at around 7 a.m., deputies received a call about a single-car crash on Interstate 90 and responded to the scene. While there, they made contact with the driver, Margot Lewis, and checked her car for any additional victims. Deputies discovered a body in the backseat and said the "conditions of the deceased were suspicious."

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (TCN) -- A 28-year-old man will spend the rest of his life in prison for abusing and mistreating two of his young children, and starving one of them to death. The Arizona Daily Sun reports a judge sentenced Anthony Jose Martinez to life for first-degree murder, as well as 68 years for two counts of child abuse and two counts of kidnapping for causing the death of Deshaun Martinez and harming another child. ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (TCN) -- An elderly man has been found guilty of killing his wife and disabled daughter with an ax and dismembering their bodies with a saw in 2023. The Colorado 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced June 28 that a jury convicted 83-year-old Reginald Maclaren of the first-degree murders of his wife, Bethany Maclaren, and their daughter, Ruth Maclaren, as well as two counts of tampering with a deceased body and false reporting. Reginald Maclaren is expected to be sentenced on July 10 and faces a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole for the first-degree murder convictions.
