This past weekend the New Black Wallstreet Market in Stonecrest hosted a weekend of festivities and workshops during the premiere of B1 The Movie by filmmaker Ric Mathis and Executive Producer Dr. Boyce Watkins. Other special guests included Rizza Islam, Queen Afua, Nuri Muhammad, and Les Brown among many other notable attendees.

The B1 Movie premiere was a huge success that addresses the current economic crisis that has been majorly impacted since the pandemic with the solutions of how to "Get On Code" and how to begin restoring a once thriving community. It was directed and produced by Dr. Boyce Watkins a leading authority in building generational wealth and financial independence, and Ric Mathis, an Atlanta filmmaker who is known for the Marvin Arrington Sr. story and the Black Friday Documentary. He also founded the West End Filmmakers and is internationally known as a producer, writer, and director.

The weekend also highlighted the work and legacy of Marcus Mosiah Garvey who also would have celebrated his 136th Birthday, Born August 17, 1887. Marcus Garvey was a Jamaican political activist who lived in Latin America and London and founded the Univeral Negro Improvement and Conservation Association and African Communities League. He also founded the "Negro World" newspaper, the Black Star Line, and a chain of restaurants and grocery stores just to name a few.

Author and Speaker Rizza Islam also joined the lineup by lecturing on the Work of Marcus Garvey and the importance of economic development among other topics inspired by the movie "B1". A recap of the event will be aired on the Truflix Network website and their Youtube page.

To end the weekend of the B1 Experience and movie premiere, Les Brown, World's Leading Motivational Speaker, also attended and spoke at the "Seat at the Table with Les Brown".
