VIENNA, Ohio (AP) — A plane trying to make an emergency landing at an airport in northeastern Ohio crashed, killing all three people aboard, authorities said. The twin-engine Beechcraft 60 went down near the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport in Ohio at about 6:45 p.m. Friday, the Federal Aviation Administration said Saturday.
Grand jury opts for no indictment in shooting death
WARREN — A Trumbull County grand jury has opted not to indict a Campbell woman who was charged with involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of her boyfriend Jan. 4. Kristen V. Schmidt, 30, was no-billed by the grand jury on Wednesday, according to a court report. She was accused of shooting Michael Cusick, of Girard, 33, in the stomach and chest area early Jan. 4 after telling police they had been fighting “all night” and he tried to break into their Dearborn Street home through a backdoor, according to a Girard police report at the time. She also told police there was a history of domestic violence between them.
