HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - It will be the same old story of hot and humid conditions to end out the weekend. The only difference will be the return of storm chances starting overnight tonight through Sunday. This evening will be quiet for most of us. The exception will be western parts of the state as storms move off of the high plains. There is a marginal risk for severe storms in western counties of the Local4 viewing area. The primary threats being large hail and damaging wind gusts. This activity will weaken as it moves east into central Nebraska overnight. Any showers or storms that happen to make it into the Tri-Cities just after midnight will be weak. As far as temperatures overnight tonight, look for lows in the mid to upper 60s with a few lower 70s east and south.

Severe weather delays start of Sidney demolition derby
SIDNEY - Demolition derby fans were rushed for cover as a severe warned storm approached the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds on Saturday evening. Gusty winds, heavy rain and cloud to ground lightning delayed the start of the Rumble on the Rails Demolition Derby. Officials tell News Channel Nebraska they're aiming for a start time of 8 p.m., depending on the weather.
