Empire Farm Days in Pompey, largest agriculture show in the Northeast, cancelled for 2024
Pompey, N.Y. — Empire Farm Days, an annual event in Upstate New York that has grown into the largest agriculture trade show in the Northeast, has been cancelled this year. It had been scheduled to run Aug. 1 to 3 at Palladino Farms / Heritage Hill Brewhouse on Sweet Road in Pompey. The family-owned farm has been the host location since 2021.
City of Cortland Announces Street Milling/Paving Projects – To Begins July 15th
It will be a busy roadworks season for the City of Cortland Department of Public Works as the list of streets to be milled and paved this summer have been announced. In total, 11 streets within the City of Cortland will be milled and paved; two streets will also have new granite curbing installed and one will have gas lines replaced prior to paving.

City of Cortland Sets Public Hearing Date on Proposed Occupancy Tax
During the City of Cortland Common Council meeting last night, the Common Council voted unanimously to set a public hearing date for a proposed local law that would reimplement an occupancy tax on hotels, motels, and bed & breakfast, or other tour rental stay facilities within the City of Cortland. The public hearing will take place on July 16th at 6pm, the next Common Council meeting at City Hall.

Dryden Dispensary announces addition of drive-thru option
DRYDEN, NY (CortacaToday) — A marijuana dispensary in Tompkins County is adding something new. The Dryden Dispensary plans to open their drive-thru on Monday. As Micron project looms, one family stays put on proposed Clay site
Clay, N.Y. – On maps of the planned Micron Technology campus in Clay sits a trio of boxes, outlined in red, straddling the northern end of Burnet Road. Those three parcels, totaling 22 acres, are the only pieces of land Onondaga County has not gobbled up for Micron to build an enormous chipmaking plant.
