SALUDA—On Friday, July 19, Saluda Tailgate Market will host the second annual Mocktails at the Market event.

Marketgoers can look forward to enjoying alcohol-free, family-friendly, market-fresh summer drinks while exploring a wide array of offerings, including fresh vegetables, honey, flowers, soaps, herbal medicines, and grass-fed meat.

The event promises to be a delightful celebration of summer, featuring special drink recipes highlighting the season. Adding to the excitement, the mocktails will be expertly crafted with the assistance of pop-up vendor Tryon Mountain Farms, renowned for its specialty syrups and salts produced at its family-owned farm on Howard Gap Road.

During the event, attendees can also look forward to live music, kids’ scavenger hunts, and the availability of gift certificates and Fresh Bucks for EBT matching. The Saluda Tailgate Market, located at Saluda Elementary, runs on Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m.

Over at the Columbus Market, organizers are coming off the success of their recent Senior Appreciation Day, which, from now on, will take place on the first Saturday of every month. The market is now gearing up for an exciting showcase of a vast selection of fresh vegetables from its vendors this weekend. From corn and tomatoes to zucchini, okra, melons, and berries, the market is set to offer everything needed for a farm-fresh feast. The Columbus Market takes place on Saturdays on Courthouse Street from 8 am.. to noon.

Visit polkcountyfarms.org for more information on these markets or to sign up as a vendor.
