FHS offers unique way to memorialize loved ones

COLUMBUS—Foothills Humane Society is currently offering a unique way for individuals to honor a loved one. The Paws for Pavers program is currently available at the shelter and lets individuals memorialize a special family member, important friend or beloved pet by permanently etching a name and/or special message into one of the bricks in the facility. Those interested can even stamp a paw print of their favorite pet so their furry friend can forever be remembered by visitors of the shelter.

For $150, individuals can purchase a brick and leave behind a message that will be read by animal lovers for many years to come. Each contribution will go towards the care of the animals and the well-being of the shelter.

“Community support means the world to us and helps us continue our mission of caring for animals in need,” the staff of FHS said last week in a social media post. “Thank you for making a difference.”

Order forms can be completed at the shelter in person or by calling (828) 863-4444, or by visiting the Foothills Humane Society’s social media page.

Foothills Humane Society is located at 989 Little Mountain Rd. in Columbus.
