SALUDA—Works by local artist Holly Wilkes will be on display at Saluda Library through mid-October. Holly will be on hand to discuss her work at an artist reception on Friday, September 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Holly has been involved with fiber arts for many years. Most of this time, her focus has been on all types of weaving, but in recent years, she has concentrated on tapestry weaving. She finds that the low, meditative pace of weaving tapestries is a respite from our hectic world. Besides abstracts, she enjoys weaving the beautiful nature in our North Carolina mountains. She weaves series of tapestries and also designs and creates colleges, jewelry, and hats. For more information about pieces in Holly’s collection, contact her at hhwnc2@gmail.com or (678) 825-7954.

If interested in having your art displayed at Saluda Library, review the Displays & Exhibits Policy at polklibrary.org/policies and contact Saluda Library Manager Amelia Medrano at 828-894-8721 x293 or amedrano@polklibrary.org .
