Tryon International, in partnership with county officials and dedicated volunteers, has launched a multi-day supply and food distribution center at its Indoor Complex to aid families affected by recent disasters.

Officials of the TIEC have published an update about the relief effort on its website.

The center is now open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will provide critical resources through Sunday, October 6, with potential extensions based on community needs.

The distribution center, located at 2676 John Shehan Road, Mill Spring, offers free supplies for humans, pets, and livestock, including food, water, hygiene items, and essential tools. It operates as a drive-through facility, ensuring convenient and efficient distribution while volunteers assist with both donation drop-offs and pick-ups.

Additionally, on Thursday, October 3, Tryon International will serve a free lunch for up to 600 people near Show Ring 1 and the Horse Show Office. Lunch will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Available Amenities

For those in need of shower and laundry services, limited facilities are available at the Lodging Office. Guests are encouraged to bring their own towels, and wait times should be expected due to high demand.

Donation Requests and How to Help

The distribution center is accepting donations daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. If larger donations require special handling, donors are asked to contact the team in advance at media@tryon.com . Items currently needed include:

    • Water, batteries, and flashlights
    • Animal feed, pet food, and kitty litter
    • Non-perishable food items and gluten-free products
    • Hygiene supplies, baby formula, and diapers
    • Chainsaws, tarps, work gloves, and shovels

Those unable to donate in person can ship items to:

    Tryon International
    Attn: Hurricane Donations
    4066 Pea Ridge Road
    Mill Spring, NC 28756

Financial donations can be made to the Green River Foundation, with all funds directed to relief efforts across Polk, Rutherford, Henderson, Buncombe Counties in NC, and Spartanburg County in SC.

    Supporting the Community

All Tryon International restaurants are currently open to serve both the community and first responders, offering hot meals and an all-you-can-eat buffet at Legends Club. This initiative supports not only the recovery efforts but also Tryon International employees impacted by the disaster.

For more information or to volunteer, visit Tryon International’s website or contact media@tryon.com .

In a message of gratitude, Tryon International and local officials have expressed their deep appreciation for the outpouring of support, donations, and prayers from the community. As relief efforts continue, they remain committed to working together to overcome the challenges ahead.
