MILL SPRING—The World Champions Rodeo Alliance will bring the “richest rodeo east of the Mississippi,” Rodeo Carolina, back to the Tryon International Equestrian Center & Resort later this year. The event will take place from October 3 through October 5, featuring accomplished Western sports athletes competing for their share of the $400,000 prize money.

The inaugural event in 2023 featured 39 competitors from the Carolinas, emphasizing the region’s deep roots in Western sports.

Tryon International is known for its first-class facilities for equestrian events of all levels and disciplines, offering an ideal setting for this prestigious event.

Rodeo Carolina will mark the third event in the WCRA Major Rodeo trilogy, with increased prize purses and the opportunity for athletes to qualify for Kid Rock’s Rock N Rodeo in 2025.

Since its launch in May 2018, the WCRA and its partners have awarded more than $18.2 million in new money to rodeo athletes, further elevating the sport. Those interested in learning more about the WCRA can visit wcrarodeo.com.

Tickets for Rodeo Carolina are currently on sale and start at $20, excluding taxes and fees. They can be purchased at the Tryon International Box Office or online at tryon.com, PBR.com, and wcrarodeo.com.
