One dead after shooting involving US Marshals in Tempe
TEMPE, AZ — One person is dead after a shooting involving US Marshals near Rural Road and Southern Avenue Thursday afternoon. Officials say Marshals were attempting to apprehend a fugitive wanted by the Chandler Police Department on warrants for burglary, trafficking in stolen property and felony flight. The individual also had an active probation violation warrant from Maricopa County.

At approximately 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday, the National Park Service Glen Canyon Regional Communications Center received a call from Kane County Dispatch about a possible carbon monoxide poisoning incident on a privately owned vessel in Face Canyon, according to a joint media release issued by Coconino County Sheriff’s Office and the park service.
