All City Art Club awarded National Academy of Design’s 2023 Abbey Mural Prize
Southside’s own All City Art Club were one of five projects selected as recipients of the National Academy of Design’s 2023 Abbey Mural Prize. The prize money will allow the group to paint a new collection of murals “throughout Southside Richmond and other areas of the city needing art that is created with care & purpose.”

Suspicious package at Chester post office is false alarm, investigators say
CHESTER — A suspicious package left in front of the post office building here late Wednesday afternoon turned out to be a false alarm, Chesterfield Police said. Nearby businesses, including a convenience store and a Chick-Fil-A, were evacuated while authorities checked out the scene. It all happened around 5 p.m. at the post office on Rock Hill Road near state Route 10.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Larry’s law went into effect in Virginia on July 1, providing additional protection for seniors against financial fraud.
