Auto-shop owner helped change Virginia's rainwater harvesting law
This story was reported by WHRO News. About a decade ago, Tyrone Jarvis experienced a water leak that changed his life. The owner of Go Green Auto Care in Newport News uncovered the leak after his business’ water bill skyrocketed to $5,000. He was discouraged by the cost and “that I wasted that much water.” Jarvis thought there must be a better way to manage the resource.

This Virginia Hooters location now listed as 'permanently closed' on restaurant's website
MANASSAS, Va. — A casual dining chain best known for its wings recently announced it was closing dozens of its underperforming restaurants across the country. Hooters, an Atlanta-based business, cited "pressure from current market conditions" as the reason it needed to shut down operations at some restaurants. While Hooters didn't specify the exact number of restaurants it was closing, nor release a list, there are 41 Hooters locations now listed as "permanently closed" on Google, and removed from the Hooters website.
