Mayorkas deserves the blame for murders, crime by illegal immigrants

Even by the low standards of the Biden administration, Alejandro Mayorkas is a standout jackass.

The Homeland Security secretary visited “the border” on Wednesday — a lie, he was in Tucson, 70 miles away — and absolved himself of all responsibility for the dangers presented by massive illegal immigration.

Of the migrants who raped and murdered a 12-year-old girl? The Venezuelan gang members who violently rob New Yorkers and shoot at cops?

“The individual who is responsible for a heinous criminal act is the criminal,” Mayorkas callously dismissed.

Absolutely false. It’s Homeland Security’s responsibility to provide security to the homeland, a task Mayorkas is unable and unwilling to perform.

Mayorkas admitted as much, saying that US authorities don’t wait for the vetting process to block border crossers.

“If we learn of derogatory information subsequently later in the process,” he said, “then we take enforcement action accordingly.”

Ah, so let the rapists and murderers and terrorists into the country, and then, weeks, months, years later, you try to find where they went?

Brilliant plan. We now know that 400 migrants were smuggled into the US by an ISIS-linked ring. DHS doesn’t know where 50 of them are.

But that’s OK, right? How long does it take to plan another 9/11, really?

Once we find them there will be “enforcement action accordingly.” Which we’ll just have to trust them on, because DHS won’t reveal the details.

Two illegal immigrants from Jordan tried to get into Quantico Marine Base under false pretenses. Were they deported? No one will say.

The contempt with which the impeached Mayorkas treats Americans is breathtaking. We’re pretty sure that bald head is what you see when you look up smug in the dictionary.

When President Biden loses in November, and Democratic pundits wonder what went wrong, look up this Tucson press conference, and you’ll have a pretty good answer.
