Man arrested for suspected Domestic Violence and Child Abduction in Tukwila

On Thursday afternoon, May 30, 2024 just after 1 p.m., Tukwila Police officers responded to a report of a woman found wandering near the 3200 block of S 137th Street (map below).

Upon arrival, officers determined that a domestic violence incident had occurred.

The suspect, who had fled the scene with the couple’s two-year-old child, had reportedly made threats to kill the child.

Officers located the suspect and child at a nearby residence. As officers surrounded the house, the suspect fled to a shed in the yard.

Seizing the opportunity, officers entered the house and safely extracted the child.

The suspect subsequently exited the shed and was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into jail.

Due to the proximity of the incident, Cascade View Elementary was placed on a brief lockdown to ensure the safety of students and staff.
