Before you begin to read this week’s column, I would like to give you a little introduction. I’m Jim Newman, the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church here in Exeter. I moved here with my wife and young family in 2001. That was also the year that “Monsters, Inc.” came out in the theaters. No, this is not an article about a new animated Pixar movie. It is rather about a very helpful nonprofit organization which I have found to be an amazing resource for churches here in Tulare County who want to reach out and help needy families and individuals around them. I don’t need to tell you about the incredible struggles and needs that people are facing in our communities. But I believe you will find that Love INC can be a valuable resource for you when you feel overwhelmed by the number of persons who are facing hardships. So without further ado, let me turn this over to someone who can explain this all better.
