Tulare County is continuing to try to sell the former Sheriff's Porterville Substation and Porterville Courthouse complex and the asking price is no less than $2 million. The Tulare County Board of Supervisors is expected to adopt a resolution declaring the county's intent to sell the property that goes along Morton from 2nd to 3rd Streets at its next meeting. The board will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

June typically is a busy time for home transactions but this year with the backdrop of high interest rates, Tulare County’s completed home sales fell from 263 in May to 198. Sales in Visalia, the county’s largest city, also fell to just 86 compared to 178 in June 2022 and 116 in May 2024.
