TULLAHOMA, Tenn. (WKRN) — Police in Tullahoma have charged two people accused of shooting at citizens numerous times with an air pellet gun.

The Tullahoma Police Department said they have received several reports about two unidentified individuals firing a pellet gun at people and vandalizing property.

“It was just aimless,” Sergeant Jason Maloney said. “No rhyme or reason for it.”

On Monday, July 1, the police department released a photo of vehicle the suspects were believed to be traveling in when the incidents occurred.

Police said reports of the crime “may have also occurred in surrounding jurisdictions but have gone unreported.”

“So far, we only have five reports of vandalism,” Maloney said. “That’s going to be all related to vehicles in Tullahoma.”

Anyone with information about the incidents are asked to call the Tullahoma Police Department.

“Chalk it up to two twenty-year-olds just out doing what they thought was having a good time,” Maloney said.

In June, several juveniles were arrested after multiple people were shot with a pellet gun in Spring Hill. News 2 spoke with the family of one the victim’s who will have to have surgery to remove a projectile from his skull.

“These projectiles are travelling at a high rate of speed and can easily put an eye out, break the skin or cause other injuries,” Maloney said.

It remains unknown if the incidents are connected. No other information was released.

“I cannot thank the citizens enough,” Police Chief Chase Sons said. “I could not be more proud of the investigative team that we have hear at the Tullahoma Police Department.”
