Tulsa Police investigating deadly train accident

UPDATE (6/25/24) — Tulsa Police confirmed a man was hit by a train near Pine and 169 on Monday night and died from his injuries.

After speaking with the train conductor, police said the man was walking on the tracks with his back to the oncoming train. The conductor told police he tried to get the man's attention and hit the emergency break, but the train was unable to stop that quickly.

Police are now working to identity the victim.

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police are investigating the death of a person who may have been hit by a train just north of Pine and Highway 169 in northeast Tulsa.

Police said the train crew stopped because they thought they hit someone.

Officers found someone dead, but they are working to learn exactly what happened.
