    15-year-old injured in south Tulsa shooting

    TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department said a 15-year-old boy was shot near an apartment complex in south Tulsa.

    Police say the boy and his cousin were walking near the the St. Thomas Square Apartments around 4:30 Monday morning when someone drove up and started shooting.

    The teen was shot in the leg and returned to the apartment and called police. He went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to be okay.

    Through the investigation, officers learned the victim was in the parking lot when the sedan pulled up. Witnesses say one person got out of the car and fired several shots, then drove off.

    Police say this shooting was random but there is no threat to the public.
