    City of Tulsa announces closures in observance of Independence Day

    TULSA, Okla. — Many city facilities are closed for Independence Day.

    The City of Tulsa said City Hall, municipal court and other facilities are closed Thursday. Public safety and mission critical operations will operate as normal.

    The City released a list of closures:

    • Tulsa Mulch Site will close Thursday and resume regular schedules Friday.
    • Animal Welfare Shelter will close Thursday and resume regular schedules Friday.
    • Tulsa Parks recreation centers are closed Thursday. The Mohawk Park and Page Belcher golf courses will be open, as will the Tulsa Zoo.
    • Oxley Nature Center visitors center will be closed. The Oxley trails will be open.
    • MetroLink Tulsa will not provide bus service Thursday.
    • Redbud Valley Nature Preserve remains closed.

    Refuse, recycling, residential curbside yard waste and bulky waste will be collected on Thursday according to their regular schedule.

    Residents who need help with water or sewer problems should call the following 24-hour emergency numbers: water – (918) 596-9488, and sewer – (918) 586-6999.
