Police investigate shooting at south Tulsa shopping center

A man who was trying to break in to a south Tulsa marijuana dispensary was shot Friday morning, according to Tulsa police.

Officers were called to the Bodega Boyz Dispensary near 61st and Memorial around 3:45am and found a man lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds. Officers said the man was wearing a ski mask over his face and had a hood pulled over his head.

According to TPD , the shooter said the business had been burglarized the night before, so he and his girlfriend had stayed the night in the business to keep an eye on the place. Police said the shooter woke up to the sound of glass breaking and saw a man trying to enter, so he grabbed his gun and shot him multiple times.

TPD said the man who was shot is expected to survive.

The shooter was questioned and released pending further investigation.
