    1 arrested for south Tulsa stabbing, police say

    TULSA, Okla. — Police are investigating a Saturday morning stabbing in south Tulsa.

    According to police, officers were called around 8:30 a.m. to a reported stabbing near 61st and Peoria.

    Once on scene, officers found an adult female victim with cuts to the back of both of her legs.

    Police said the suspect, Sherill Stigall, was quickly located at a nearby food store and arrested. Stigall was booked for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

    The stabbing began as a dispute over an EBT card, according to police.

    The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to be ok.
