Oklahoma: Muscogee Nation to break ground on $100 million casino project this September
Construction on an estimated $100 million Muscogee Nation tribe and Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises casino and hotel in Coweta, Oklahoma, is set to begin this September. “Investing in the City of Coweta represents a remarkable new chapter in our growing entertainment and hospitality legacy,” Muskogee Nation Principal Chief David Hill said in a news release. “The Coweta Casino Hotel will expand cultural tourism, create jobs and enhance the quality of life of our citizens.”

It’s been nearly 40 years since the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore received a major renovation but work is being done to attract a new generation. A new event center will be built overlooking Claremore. There will also be a collection area to showcase Will Rogers’ memorabilia collection. A new entryway will open up for the museum and officials said they want it to be more appealing for events and programs.
